Our Community Mental Health Center is looking for a Social Worker to join our Center as it grows and expands its services in the San Fernando Valley.

As a Social Worker in our Community Mental Health Center, you will play a pivotal role in providing vital support and services to individuals with mental health concerns. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and implement effective interventions to improve their overall well-being. This position requires expertise in running three types of sessions: psycho-social, educational, and activity-based, with a strong emphasis on the psycho-social aspect. Additionally, this role offers the potential for growth into a management position within our organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct psycho-social sessions to address the emotional, psychological, and social aspects of clients' mental health.
- Lead educational sessions to enhance clients' understanding of mental health issues, coping strategies, and available resources.
- Organize and facilitate activity-based sessions to promote engagement, socialization, and skill-building among clients.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, strengths, and challenges to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual counseling and group therapy sessions to support clients in overcoming mental health difficulties.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other professionals, to ensure coordinated care.
- Monitor clients' progress and make appropriate adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay current with relevant research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of mental health.
- Supervise and provide guidance to junior social workers and interns as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degrees in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a social work role, preferably within a community mental health setting.
- Proven experience in running psycho-social, educational, and activity-based sessions.
- Strong understanding of various therapeutic approaches and interventions in mental health.
- Excellent assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficient in documentation and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
