**Job Functions**: Assists with all aspects of the Assembly Department and reports to the Assembly Lead
? Performs precision assembly on production aerospace parts, including attaching parts together by drilling riveting, and/or bonding according to customer specifications
? Responsible for following drawings and detailed work instructions to assemble high-quality aerospace components
? Self-inspects their work to ensure quality defects are mitigated and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and/or unusual conditions to the Assembly Lead
? Utilizes a variety of mechanical measuring equipment such as: dial indicators, calipers and indicating micrometers to obtain proper assembly-build requirements
? Maintains dimensional accuracy on assemblies utilizing torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gauges, and other measuring devices. Required to work from assembly instructions, both written and oral
? Works and follows process specifications, work orders, blueprints, schedules, schematics, layout & modification sheets, engineering orders and verbal/written instructions
**? Ability to setup and run manual machines**: Lathe and Bridgeport milling machine
? Performs other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
? Trade school certificate preferred.
? Minimum 5 years? experience in Aerospace or Commercial assembly/manufacturing preferred.
? Strong problem solving, social, and oral/written communication skills.
? Fundamental understanding of shop routers, and product acceptance criteria through operator verification.
? Familiarity with aircraft nomenclature and configuration is preferred.
? Familiarity with ISO9001:2015/AS9100D is preferred.
? Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and other visual specification layouts is required.

**Education and Experience Required**:
High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
Experience with F-35 Assembly Requirements.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day. The employee is frequently required to grasp, handle and feel objects, control and manage tools, and use hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-30 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
