- Job Summary:

- The U.S. Property Fac Hybrid department is looking for an Underwriter to join our New York, NY office. This is a hybrid position working 3 days onsite, 2 remote.
- Requirements:
- Underwrite property hybrid business, with the ability to analyze exposure to loss and adhere to corporate underwriting rules and guidelines.-
- New business production and ability to develop strong customer relationships by providing top-notch service.-
- Work with all functional areas of the company including claims, accounting, and product management to support company objectives.-
- Ability to travel. This individual would be expected to spend time on the road after the initial training process.-
- Build relationships with intermediaries, ceding companies, and others which would benefit the organization.-
- Maintain awareness of competitor capabilities and strategies, as well as the overall (re)insurance marketplace.-
- Experience working with catastrophe models a plus.-
- Property Facultative experience a plus.- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.-
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Underwriter or directly with Underwriters in a technical capacity.-
- Excellent marketing skills and established relationships with insurance companies and/or brokers.-
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and writing skills with the ability to flourish in a team environment.-
- Prior Reinsurance experience a plus.Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.- For NYC Only:_ _The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
