Vehicle Maintenance

**Hours Thursday
- Sunday 7:30am to 4:00pm (hours negotiable)**

**Job Summary**

**Primary Job Duties**
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with fleet vehicles, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems, and ascertain as to see if repairs are necessary.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify and address any potential safety hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs, including service logs and inspection reports.
- Coordinate with fleet management team to schedule regular maintenance appointments and prioritize repairs based on urgency and vehicle usage.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintenance standards, including inspections and emissions testing.
- Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
- Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information.
- Monitor inventory of spare parts and supplies, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of necessary materials.
- Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under stress and remain calm.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize vehicle reliability.
- Provide training and guidance to other maintenance staff as needed.

**Education and Experience**

**High School Diploma - or the equivalent (for example, GED)**

**A valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License and a satisfactory driving record**

**Proven experience as a vehicle mechanic or maintenance technician**

**Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.**

**Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment**

**Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
