Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Court Clerk. The Court Clerk plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the court by handling administrative tasks and providing assistance to judges, attorneys, and the public.
**Duties**:
- File Management: Organize and maintain court documents, including case files, judgments, orders, and other legal records.
- Administrative Support: Provides support to Deputy Court Administrator(s) and court Administrator
- Customer Service: Interact with individuals involved in court proceedings, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Cash Handling: Manage payments for fines, fees, and court costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.
- Word Processing: Utilize word processing software to create and edit legal documents and correspondence.
**Skills**:
- Experience in a clerical or administrative role is preferred.
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and maintaining financial records accurately.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
