Assistant Baker

**About us**

Superfood City provides gluten free, vegan, refined sugar free, seed oil free, nutrient dense & eco-friendly baked goods. We are sold at farmers markets across the Hamptons, online and wholesale to stores across Long Island and NYC.

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. The Baker will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and quality in our kitchen. Superfood City provides gluten free, vegan, refined sugar free, seed oil free, nutrient dense & eco-friendly baked goods. We are sold at farmers markets across the Hamptons, online and wholesale to stores across Long Island and NYC.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods such as cookies, brownies, blondies, muffins, donuts & scones at our commercial kitchen in Southampton, NY on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays (3-4 hours per shift, daytime hours)
- Package baked goods for sale or delivery
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

**Skills**:

- Experience in large-scale baking operations an added bonus, but can be trained
- Knowledge of gluten free/vegan baking an added bonus, but can be trained
- Understanding of food safety standards and practices (food safety manager license preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
