Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is hiring a Full-Time** Manager of Security.**

**Position Overview**
- ** Reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Security**:

- ** Monday - Friday with 24/7 **accountability.** Flexibility is key**

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1 year of Supervisory experience required
- 5 years of Security experience required
- Driver’s License in good standing
- Certified Advanced Healthcare Security Officer (CAHSO) - Certification - Other/National
- Handle with Care Certification (HWC)
- Emergency Management experience preferred

Assumes responsibility, accountability, and provides leadership for daily operations, coordination of work, quality and service, and team member supervision in assigned area of operating center.

Facilitate the work of assignment teams through the scheduling and assignment of staff, coordination of quality improvement activities, resolution of customer service issues, and management and monitoring or resource utilization. Effectively coordinates operating center work, manages resources, and participates in goal accomplishments.

**To bolster safety and security for our patients and team members, Sentara has implemented a Fit for Duty assessment to ensure that our officers meet a minimum standard of fitness.**
- The four-part assessment includes a response walk, a stair climb, a drag to safety and a lift.
