**What You Will Do**
Provides overall support to management and the department which includes general site and clinic operations, employee management and adherence to financial and cash handling policies and procedures. Cross trains and has a working knowledge of various positions within the department. Manages and maintains the float support staff scheduling.

**Required Qualifications**
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 Years healthcare experience with a strong emphasis in customer service, team collaboration and project development.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
- Medical terminology experience.

**Essential Functions**
- Assists with facility management
Enters and identifies the need for work orders.
Coordinates and explains work orders with engineering staff.
Assists with facility audits/AAAHC Audits.
Processes all pagers transactions.
Coordinates vendor activities.
Responds/trains fire alarm all code situations as assigned.
Interacts and communicates daily with security staff.
- Financial responsibilities and cash management
Accepts accountability for the organization's financial success while delivering the highest quality of care and service.
Demonstrates flexibility in work practices to maintain operating expenses.
Supports organizational cost containment i.e. PPO authorization and system guidelines.
Utilizes Accuracy Report as needed for education and training. Actively sets priorities and adjusts to unscheduled situations.
Provides oversight for the cash reconciliation process.
Initiates communication with others to ensure job is completed successfully.
Department goals i.e. department productivity, CUOS, patient visits and FTE's.
Investigates billing questions for patients and staff
Oversees the insurance verification report process.
- Eligibility and authorization
Background of insurance eligibility and works with departmental BSR. Knowledgeable on patient account and billing information. Performs mini-registration procedures and verifies insurance eligibility.
Knowledge of patient accounts and insurance information related to procedures offered.
Processes customer issues promptly and prioritizes patient's needs based off the referral status.
Prescreens eligibility, patient benefits and authorizations for specific patient populations for the department.
Navigates patient insurance benefits thru approved system websites.
- Human resource management
Assists with coaching and informal corrective action.
Conducts or assists with interviews and screens applicants.
Assists with new employee orientation and creates orientation schedules for new employees as requested.
Performs coaching documentation and may present performance appraisals.
Reviews API/timecards for accuracy.
Relates Human Resources policies and procedures accurately or refers staff to appropriate contact.
Assists with day-to-day coverage and placement of staff.
Identifies problematic behavior trends for staff.
Makes recommendations and may provide education/additional training for PSR & BSR.
Recognizes and celebrates successes of employees.
- Training and education
Presents educational material in staff meetings.
Rounds on employees to insure job proficiency and follow through.
Performs quality audits as needed.
- Communication and teamwork
Responds to all phone calls within a timely manner.
Is helpful and knowledgeable and displays appropriate use of AIDET.
Cross trains and is able to cover various support service areas.
Leads team meetings as instructed.
- Department operations
Provides accurate information to all customers including patients, physicians, co-workers and visitors and maintains a variety of office support activities.
Prepares and monitors daily/weekly operations with system reporting. Monitors day-to-day workload issues; reassigns work as needed.
Oversees and monitors schedule edits.
Offers feedback and oversees cross-monitoring of daily/weekly operations. This includes but is not limited to department scheduling guidelines and customer concerns related to financial discrepancies and quality or service.
Assists in departmental training and using system resources to facilitate education.
Using a keyboard, required to type proficiently and accurately; type a minimum of 30 words per minute with 0-2 errors; proof work.
