Overview:
The Industrial HSE Technician plays a critical role in promoting and maintaining health, safety, and environmental compliance within industrial facilities. They are responsible for implementing HSE policies and procedures, conducting inspections, providing training, and ensuring regulatory compliance to create a safe and healthy work environment for employees and minimize environmental impact.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all HSE protocols are communicated effectively to employees and contractors.
- Monitor compliance with HSE regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of industrial facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Perform audits to assess compliance with HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Document findings, report deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Respond to and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Compile incident reports, analyze trends, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
- Liaise with management, employees, and regulatory agencies as necessary.
- Deliver HSE training programs to employees, contractors, and visitors on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on the safe use of equipment, handling of hazardous materials, and proper waste disposal practices.
- Promote a culture of safety by fostering awareness and accountability among all personnel.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, fire prevention measures, and first aid protocols.
- Conduct drills and exercises to test emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
- Coordinate with emergency services and agencies to ensure effective response in case of emergencies.
- Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with regulations governing air quality, water management, waste disposal, and pollution prevention.
- Implement environmental management programs to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability initiatives.
- Conduct environmental assessments and assist in obtaining permits and approvals as required.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or Environmental Management Systems (EMS) certification may be required or preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial HSE roles, with a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and HSE audits.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management software.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to conduct site inspections and participate in emergency response activities, which may require climbing, bending, lifting, and other physical tasks.
- Stamina to work long hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
