Production Planner

**Job Scope and Skill Set**:
The Production Planner is responsible for resource planning via the ERP System (and other necessary tools), coordinating and/or monitoring of product flow through the entire production cycle. Additionally, provide timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing jobs to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal KPI's and customer demand.

**Duties and Areas of Responsibility**:

- Maintain accurate and current schedules, detailing the start and complete dates for work center activities.
- Plan, prepare, disseminate, and communicate capacity levels at different levels for management review and decision-making capability.
- Use ERP system to initiate and maintain manufacturing orders for current and future work supporting customer demand.
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure readiness is maintained and production starts are achieved.
- Serve as a Production Control lead and collaborate with Operations Team (Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain) to ensure production has all required inputs.
- Provide day-to-day support for the Production Supervisor, in an effort to meet customer demands and commitments.
- Assist with communication when Customer Service has requests.
- Confirm delivery dates for new orders and communicate with Customer Service so they can send Order Acknowledgements to Customers. Confirmed dates must be accurate and are based on backlog, material lead time(s), the quoted lead time, and customer delivery requirements.
- Follow and support all applicable ISO9001 & AS9100 standards and procedures.

**Other Duties as Assigned and not limited to**:

- Expedite subcontractor purchase orders with Supply Chain to ensure OTD is being met.
- Other assignments on an as needed basis per management.
