Are you a Horticulturist, Master Gardener, Master Naturalist, or a knowledgeable plant person who loves creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes?
We are looking for **Landscape Horticulturalists** with excellent customer service skills to join our growing team and help us become the leading name in professional landscape care. This position is responsible for servicing residential and/or commercial clients, providing professional landscape maintenance and care, along with top quality customer service, while promoting a garden inspired lifestyle and delivering an Easy, Enjoyable, and Excellent experience for customers.
Additionally, we’re looking for friendly people who can help our Garden Center customers make decisions about products and services, and find solutions to their garden problems. Other duties include cashiering, plant care, and loading customer purchases.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Above all else, attends to our clients with the highest level of care, compassion and courtesy
- Planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, raking, etc. according to schedule and safety procedures.
- Ability to be resourceful in answering questions about the landscape and guide the customer to the best solution suitable to the customers’ goals
- Drives company vehicle to client locations.
- Maintains vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance.
- Assists in maintaining cleanliness of facility.
**REQUIREMENTS**
Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is a PLUS, but experience in nurseries, garden centers, parks maintenance, or as a Master Gardener, etc. is also very valuable
Experience in a service related industry or function
Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating system and Microsoft Office (In general, being comfortable on a computer will be very helpful.)
Ability to provide quality customer service and deliver the Hoerr Experience
Must have a sales mentality and understand that the customer is the key to a successful business
Ability to define problems and communicate issues to management
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints, and maintain confidentiality when appropriate
Ability to lift 40 pounds
**Pay Range**: $18 to $23 per hour
