**Responsibilities**:

- Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth.
- Create a fun and safe learning environment.
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity and playtime.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress.
- Maintain the health and safety of all students. Adhering to health, safety and sanitation procedures.
- Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interest and learning styles of children.
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom.
- Facilitate various activities for children including songs, games and storytelling.

Qualifications:

- 12 units of Early Childhood Development
- Fingerprint clearance
- Physicians report and TB test. Proof of pertussis, measles (or willingness to get vaccines upon hire)
- Live Scan Clearance from Child Abuse registry
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
- Passionate about working with children.
- Ability to build rapport with children.
- Patience and compassion suitable with working with young children.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with children and parents.
- Ability to develop activities that are fun and educational for young children.
- Proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to the various needs of children and parents.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour

License/Certification:

- CPR Certification (preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (preferred)
