Frontier Allergy Asthma and Immunology is looking to hire a medical scribe in charge of documenting medical visits in our electronic health record system. This is a great learning opportunity to work very closely with a physician and gain insight into the clinical and business requirements of running an independent community clinic. We see patients aged 3 months to 90 years, individuals with VA and private insurance, and Medicare. In addition to operating as an allergy clinic, our office sees patients with idiopathic urticaria, mild/moderate/severe asthma, primary immunodeficiencies, eosinophilic asthma, mast cell activation syndrome, and other immune conditions.

We are hoping to find one scribe who can begin training _as soon as possible_, with solo scribing to begin as soon as late May 2024. The position is open to pre-med, pre-PA, and pre-nursing students. **We are especially keen on hiring students taking a gap year who can work full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30 hours a week available**. Scribing is a great opportunity to work one-on-one with the physician, documenting the entire patient experience in an electronic health record including the patient note, review of systems, insurance codes, and assessment/plan. Frontier Allergy would employ you directly, so there is no middle-man scribe company.

Must be able to work at least **two-three full clinic days per week for the span of 1 year**, during our office hours of:
M: 8 am-5:00 pm

T: 8 am-5:00 pm

W: 10 am-6:30 pm

Th: 8 am-5 pm

F: 8 am-3 pm

Job requirements:

- **minimum of 10-12-month commitment, preferably 2 years, working at least 2-3 days per week**
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to learn fast, multitask, and concentrate in a very bustling environment (screaming kids, full waiting room, etc.) Effective communicator with a positive demeanor
- Interest in learning a LOT about allergy/immunology

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
