HealthFitness is looking for a Health Fitness Professional to join the team at our client site located in Phoenix, AZ near Deer Valley Hospital.

In this role, you will make a direct impact on the health and well-being of our members through the coordination, implementation, and delivery of health and fitness challenges, programs and services, fitness center promotions and outreach activities. You will provide individual and group exercise instruction, monitor fitness facility and conduct fitness testing and assessments, advising participants of the results and designing individualized programs to meet the members’ interests, abilities and goals. You will lead the fitness program with support of your manager. This entails creating and administering challenges, building confident gym members with equipment orientations, driving motivation and excitement in members in relation to exercising, growing personal training clientele and providing top tier group fitness instruction. You will assist with keeping the fitness floor and group fitness suite clean and tidy, receive, sort, fold and restock towel deliveries and manage an organized front desk area. Other duties as needed/assigned.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, no weekends Hours will vary with opening and closing shifts, between 5:30am and 7pm

What you'll bring with you:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline.
- Adult First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required by start date. Note: certification must have an in-person component and not 100% online/OSHA compliant)
- Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT or NETA required within 30 days of hire.
- Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider a plus.
- Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.
- Additional Commission opportunities for someone with an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved Personal Trainer certification.
