**Permit Assistant Job Description**:
In this position, the responsible person will communicate with the Sales staff, Technicians, Supervisors, Building Departments, Inspectors, and Customers, to Facilitate, Coordinate, Schedule and Track the entire permit process. This person will be responsible for the flow of the permit operations form the start to the finish.

**Job Duties**:

- Monday - Friday
- Primary responsibility is to collect permit information, fill out permit forms and required additional paperwork, in coordination of the Sales staff and Field Technicians i.e. Plumbing HVAC & Electric.
- Project Coordinator experience is a plus
- Scheduling of inspections with appropriate Building departments and our clients.
- Handle all calls with building departments and customers in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.
- Maintains all customer permit and inspection records using computer database to maintain detailed history of the work performed.
- Active in all facets of Customer interaction concerning closing out all permits, as well as other various reporting responsibilities as needed.
- Work as a team with the ultimate goal to take care of the customer.

**Requirements needed in order to be considered for this position**:

- Requires a clear understandable speaking voice.
- Requires a high school diploma.
- 2 - 4 years of previous permitting/customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills.
- Able to use a computer and other general office equipment.
- Accurately capture and enter data into existing database.
- Experience and utilizing judgment in order to plan and accomplish goals.
- Follow up and follow through with Sales Staff, Technicians, Supervisors and Customers to help maintain good customer relationships.
- A professional, courteous, and caring telephone manner.
- Patience and endurance to sit behind a desk all day.
- Able to handle the urgency of each task, and work in a high-stress position, while making each person feel they are your most important person of the day.
- Be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Strong interpersonal skills such as, communication, problem solving, and organizational.
- General office duties to include filing, sorting, answering phones, greeting customers, etc.
