Position Summary
The Department of Colorectal Surgery is looking for Short Term Casual (Non-Student). Incumbent will perform multiple assignments under direct supervision.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct literature searches to aid research projects.
- Manage data and uphold file organization.
- Assess study budgets.
- Document task or study-related data.
- Assist in data collection, presentation preparation, and manuscript proofreading.
- Gather necessary research documentation and fulfill other relevant duties to support the research study's operation.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalency certificate, technical training or equivalency, and some related laboratory experience, usually six months
- 6 months of related experience. Intermediate to advanced level MS Office skills.
Other Requirements
- Familiarity with clinical trial workflow and general medical terminology
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and proactive follow-through of assigned projects
- Thorough knowledge of MS Excel
- Ability to keep records in an orderly fashion
- Ability understand and adhere to compliance policies
- Ability to respectfully and effectively communicate with patients, staff, and faculty
- Work requires manual dexterity for handling charts and using office equipment - specifically the use of a computer keyboard and calculator. Must be able to stoop and bend to retrieve files and supplies, and sit, stand or move around for extended periods of time.
