We are looking for a highly motivated Lead Barista to join our team This individual will help to direct the set up and preparation of Joe Merchant Cafe, serve and bus tables, clear and tear down buffets, ordering, and cleaning duties. This role will assist the food & beverage supervisors and managers lead the performance of our baristas.

Your role:

- Preparing and serving drinks and food in accordance with health codes and café standards.
- Promoting, educating, and enforcing sustainable techniques to reduce waste and drive cost savings
- Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service.
- Building customer relationships and fostering a positive and friendly store environment.
- Provide accurate order lists and assist with placing orders when needed.
- Provide continuous training to co-workers and emphasize the importance of accuracy in accordance with established standards.
- Monitoring espresso machines are cleaned properly and serviced, report any issues through proper channels, and tracking any tickets that have been submitted for service.
- Providing details of ordering statuses and relevant following up required to leadership.
- Addresses guest’s concerns and provides solutions, ability/awareness to escalate to leadership if needed
- Provide daily Pass On communications to leadership with all the relevant information from the day.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:

- TABC and Food handlers certification REQUIRED
- Someone with 2-4 years Barista experience, preferably Banquet service
- Someone with knowledge coffee and grab and go venues
- Someone who is able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Someone with a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
- Someone with excellent communication skills
- Someone who can push or pull up to 50lbs and lift up to 30lbs
