Our funeral home is seeking an addition to our professional team. We are currently looking for a funeral home support, and transfer technician. This is an ideal position for someone interested in gaining funeral home experience and serving our community.

This position includes mortuary transfers which entails utilizing our vehicles and equipment to bring decedents into our care from the place of death. It also includes record keeping task, answering phones, supporting the funeral directors, and greeting families.

We are a full-service funeral home and crematory. We tailor each arrangement to the family's personal needs.

This is a **part-time position. **As death is untimely, this position **will require working on-call** some nights and weekends.

We need someone who is caring, respectful, passionate about helping others, patient and kind. If this describes you, you would be a great addition to our family.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**Duties will include**:

- Transfers (bringing decedents into our care) during office hours as well as some nights and some weekends (Nights and Weekends paid per call)
- Greeting families
- Clerical / compliance tasks
- Assisting the funeral director
- Cleanliness and occasional light janitorial

**Qualifications and Skills**

- PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE;
- Strong ability to evaluate and appropriately address privacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks at once
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
- Comfortable communicating over the phone and in person
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift 100+ lbs without restrictions

Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week
