**Childcare Worker**:
**Position Summary**:
Responsible for developing and implementing a treatment parenting plan of care with teen parent clients and their children that is trauma-informed; to assist them to develop the skills they will need to provide a safe, stable and permanent home for their children.

**Shift **:Monday-Friday 11:00am-7:30pm

**Essential Duties**:

- Acquires, maintains, teaches and demonstrates knowledge of Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) and Sexual Harassment standards at care provider facilities, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care and maintains a professional environment that is consistent with Title 22, licensing regulations, and established agency policies.
- Establishes screening and educational support policies that respond to both the social
- emotional and early leaning needs of children who have experienced trauma.
- Ensures client-centered trauma-informed service best practice planning including effective advocacy, cross team collaboration, and client empowerment.
- Ensures positive, supportive relationships that foster trust between staff and teen parents.
- Develops and oversees developmentally appropriate trauma-informed curriculum.
- Assesses client developmental milestones and coordinates intervention with Regional Center, as appropriate.
- Assesses symptoms of trauma and toxic stress, ensuring appropriate intervention and mitigation of stressors.
- Engages and participates in community partner and stakeholder events or as assigned based on program need.
- Communicates relevant information and coordinates with assigned staff to establish and meet clients’ treatment goals.
- Sets clear, measurable and specific goals for assigned staff and meets weekly for review.
- Provides specific performance feedback to staff, both positive and corrective, as soon as possible after event or action.
- Oversees written evaluations, submitted evaluations and any rate change submissions for approval. Presents evaluation to staff.
- Maintains a professional environment that is consistent with existing contracts, licensing regulations, and established agency policies.

**Minimum Qualifications**

Minimum of a High School Diploma with 12 Early Childhood Education Units or BA/BS degree in relevant field required. One year related experience working directly with system-involved and/or high-risk young parents required.

**Additional Requirements**
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted California driver’s license.
- Must be able to successfully complete and maintain required certifications and training including, but not limited to, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Nurturing Parenting, First Aid/CPR, and other evidence-informed practices.
- Must be computer-literate and be able to understand and effectively use electronic health record/billing systems.

**Salary Range: $42,640 - $46,904**:
