Thermoscan Inc. is currently looking for an experienced thermographer to perform infrared electrical and mechanical inspections throughout the Chicagoland area. Level I certification is highly desired but not required. Willing to train individuals with a mechanical and/or electrical background. Position will begin part-time and increase to full-time as work load increases. Excellent communication and computer skills are a must. Please submit your resume in confidence.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct infrared inspections on electrical and mechanical systems using thermography equipment.
- Perform E & I maintenance tasks and troubleshoot issues related to industrial equipment.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers for system monitoring and control.
- Calibrate and maintain precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate readings.
- Interpret schematics and diagrams to identify potential issues and make necessary repairs.
- Work with sensors to monitor equipment performance and detect abnormalities.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure optimal functioning of all systems.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to understand and maintain various mechanical components.
- Implement high voltage safety protocols during inspections and maintenance procedures.
- Provide field service support to address on-site technical issues promptly.
- Utilize AutoCAD for design and documentation purposes as needed.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients.
- Familiarity with distributed control systems and CNC machinery for efficient operation.
- Utilize military experience to bring discipline and precision to all job responsibilities.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
