The Curriculum Coordinator leads the coordination of all Pre-K through 12 curriculum offerings in the Milton School District and oversees/supports accountability efforts. This includes facilitating the district dialogue about curriculum, instruction, and assessment, selecting instructional materials, and directing the process for evaluating district, school, and student performance over time. The Curriculum Coordinator coordinates the leadership of professional learning and opportunities for the engagement of all staff while accelerating student growth and achievement.Qualifications & SkillsRequiredNew Hampshire certification as a Teacher and certification or a statement of eligibility as a Curriculum Administrator.Masters degree in education - Curriculum or Educational Leadership.Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience.Successful experience in leadership roles related to school or curriculum development/coordination. Strong communication and facilitation skills with diverse audiences (teachers, administrators, students, parents, the community, and the school boards).

Ability to think creatively and flexibly. Demonstrated commitment to remain innovative and current in content knowledge, instructional strategies, and adult learning models. PreferredNew Hampshire Education Department Curriculum Administrator Preferred. Five years of classroom teaching experience.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Leads the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional services throughout the Milton School District.

Maintains current knowledge of developments in curriculum and instruction and furnishes leadership in the renewal, upgrading, and redesign of the curriculum and instructional program. Applies research and data to improve the teaching-learning processs content, sequence, and outcomes. Encourages the development, publication, evaluation, and use of new and innovative instructional materials designed to support learning for all.Provides models for proven and effective instructional strategies for the enhancement of student learning and assessment, including ways of addressing the needs of learners of all performance styles and levels. Supports a data-based decision-making model that is evidence-based and culturally responsive in improving individual student outcomes.

Promotes practical uses of technology to achieve program goals. Creates and maintains a comprehensive system of learner assessment.Professional Development Develops, implements, and evaluates in-service and professional development programs and promotes collegiality and a professional learning community throughout the Milton School District. Leads and supports the districts instructional leadership resources, maximizing teacher learning and student growth. District Leadership Designs and implements structures and systems that support efficient and effective coordination and collaboration across all schools and districts (Program Review).

Provides support and counsel to the Superintendent on instructional design and curriculum development initiatives. Encourages and supports the professional learning and growth of the SAU and building leadership, especially as it relates to innovations in curriculum and instruction. Supports the entire instructional program in all schools by cooperatively working with building leadership and faculty. Creates organizational and environmental systems that focus on enabling all personnel to operate efficiently and effectively.

CommunicationProvides programs for parents and other citizens that describe and explain the districts curriculum and instructional programs and engage the community in programmatic decision-making. Communicates the mission, vision, programs, activities, services, and accomplishments of the districts to school boards, employees, and the public. Maintain the highest standards of professionalism.Demonstrate positive work habits by showing initiative, cooperation, dependability, efficiency, and productivity. Follow the confidentiality guidelines as established by the school district.Attend relevant training sessions, meetings, and professional growth activities as requested/required.Professional when interacting with students, parents, faculty, administration, and co-workers.Other Adheres to Federal and state statutes, administrative regulations, and school board and district policies and procedures.
