Vegan Pastry Chef

Modern Love Brooklyn is a vegan restaurant specializing in vegan comfort food from scratch. You will start using our tried and true recipes then branch out into your own creations. Vegan experience a plus but not necessary. Take a look at our Instagram to see what we are about

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and bake a variety of vegan pastries following recipes and guidelines as well as creating specials.
- Ensure high-quality food production in line with industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Handle packaging of pastries for display and sale.
- Utilize pastry experience to craft visually appealing and tasty treats.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong foundation in food preparation, with a focus on pastry and baking
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, demonstrating culinary skills and food handling expertise
- Knowledge of the food industry and a passion for creating vegan pastries
- Proficiency in cake decorating and packaging to enhance product presentation
- Certification in culinary arts and valid NYC food handlers

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
