**The Role**

This position is responsible for the configuration management of all Virginia Class Submarine (VCS) products and services and must have a working knowledge of Drawings, Liabilities and Construction. Able to interface with EB, Navy, SUPSHIP, and other Construction and Engineering departments in a professional manner. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.

This position entails contributing to the completion of organizational projects and goals. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally be detected in supervisory oversight. Frequent internal company contacts. Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, and other personnel in the section or group. Represents section or group on specific projects. Position may require making presentations group or sections on specific projects.

**Must Have**

Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience.

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
