We’re searching for an Audiology Screener, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position you will performs hearing screens on infants according to state regulations. Maintains record keeping and documentation according to TCH policies as well as state and other regulatory requirements.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Performs inpatient hearing screenings in well-baby and NICU areas of the hospital using automated OAE and AABR equipment.
- Uses age-appropriate equipment and supplies.
- Positions and handles child based on an understanding of medical needs.
- Reviews well baby daily nursery inpatient census for appropriate screening needs. Performs screenings for infants born the day prior.
- Checks equipment calibration daily, either biologically or electronically, to ensure proper functioning.
- Notifies the audiologist and/or Biomedical Instrumentation of any equipment malfunction.
- Maintains accurate TEHDI database of the infant’s demographic information, PCP information and screening results to help ensure appropriate follow-up care by audiologists.
- Accurately enters screening results into EMR (EPIC).
- Maintains excel spreadsheet to track infants with no identified PCP
- Workday: 7am-3:30pm
- Rotate schedule of weekend coverage (at least one weekend a month)
- Rotate holiday coverage
- Need to walk to other buildings and on feet majority of the day
- Paperwork/Documentation/Computer Literacy
- Screener will be interacting with new mothers and family along with nursing staff so we need a good and courteous personality

**Skills & Requirements**
- Required Highschool Diploma or GED
- Preferred some college or MA training.
