The Security and Compliance Analyst at **a**_rrivia_**_ _is responsible for supporting the IT Operations Governance, Risk, and Compliance program. In this role, you will assist with external regulatory and industry audits, as well as the maintenance of our information security policies, procedures, and related standards. As a key player, you will ensure that our security and compliance control processes function effectively as designed, maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, industry, and contractual requirements. These include but are not limited to PCI, NIST, AICPA, and ITGC. You will also conduct gap analyses, manage maintenance, facilitate remediation efforts, and provide training on our compliance framework. Additionally, you will own, coordinate, and execute regular control activities, collaborating directly with technical and business stakeholders, as well as internal and external auditors. Your goal will be to identify risk factors, assess existing controls, and support remediation of any control weaknesses to uphold compliance requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain information security policies, ensuring alignment with legal requirements, industry best practices, and organizational goals.
- Author and coordinate compliance related communications and provide project coordination across technology teams needed for industry accepted certifications.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security gaps and recommend controls to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Regularly monitor compliance with security policies through audits, reviews, and assessments.
- Collaborate with various teams to design and implement security measures, safeguarding sensitive data and systems through effective security controls.
- Stay informed about the latest security threats and trends to ensure the effectiveness of our security practices.
- Assist teams and stakeholders with security governance and compliance, offering guidance and support on risk management.
- Contribute to creating and evolving security awareness programs and fostering a security-conscious culture within the organization.
- Support in the handling of security incidents by participating in investigating, resolving them, and conducting post-incident reviews to learn and improve.
- Support and address client inquiries regarding our security practices and compliance status and collaborate with cross-functional teams during audits and reviews as needed.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to facilitate client, PCI, and remote or on-site audits.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience. Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are often preferred.
- Proven experience in information security governance, risk management, and compliance roles, preferably within a regulated industry.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and present complex information to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with security technologies, tools, and industry best practices related to governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Understanding of information security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., PCI, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and address security risks and compliance gaps.
- Ethical and professional conduct, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
