Well established manufacturing company in the city of La Mirada is seeking for **Production Planner.**
In this role, responsibilities include determining materials specifications, creating, and maintaining inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments, and managing external stakeholder relations. Ensure materials are inventoried and in stock to meet daily production schedules and to ensure material shortages are minimized, assists when physical inventories are performed. Proven ability to significantly improve upon the company's scheduling processes, purchasing, vendor relationships, negotiations, freight costs and the reduction of inventory.
**Required Skills and Experience**
- Must have 3+ years of manufacturing experience
- Must have 3+ years of ERP systems experience
- APICS certification preferred
- Knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain operations with advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills (4 years preferred)
- Strong computer proficiency (Project, MRP, MS Office Suite)
- Thorough understanding of bills of materials and units of measure.
- Proven track record of improving overall efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a loud, noisy, and congested environment.
**Training Requirements**:
- General Safety, HAZCOM, Lockout - Tag-out, Forklift, Macola, Department SOP
**Physical Demands**
- Frequently walking, use of hands/fingers to handle/feel, operate, activate, inspect, grasp/squeeze
- Ability to kneel, stoop, crunch, and climb.
- Perform frequent repetitive movement, lifting, pushing and pulling; up to 70 pounds.
**Shift**
- Monday to Friday; 8-hour shifts
**Pay Rate**
- 65K to 75K per year; depending on experience.
