**Title**:
Jr. Strat Comms & Social Media Specialist (Secret or TS clearance)

**Description/Responsibilities**:
Strategic Communications Tasks include:

- P rovide communication skills for military space, ground, and software programs
- Contribute to the development and delivery of high quality and high impact communications products
- Contribute to the development of media strategies, responses to media inquiries, press releases, and articles
- Become familiar with written and verbal Air Force, Space Force and Military Space Acquisition terminology
- Become familiar with space acquisition processes, Congress and other relevant government entities that impact acquisition program offices, as well as related processes and documents
- Prepare and coordinate proper documentation to obtain government approvals for content that requires public release approval

Social Media Manger Tasks include:

- Plan, develop and manage social media strategies and campaigns
- Understand and leverage social media tools to craft compelling content to social channels
- Interact with government Public Affairs officers to coordinate on social media posts
- Prepare proper documentation and route social media through the appropriate government channels for approval.

Team Coordinator Tasks Include:

- Work closely with the team leader to keep the team running smoothly
- Facilitate daily functions and operations of the team by maintaining team calendars, task lists, and product databases
- Assist in coordinating, consolidating, analyzing, distributing, and monitoring action items, tasks, and responses
- Organize and manage senior leadership engagements and events

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant work experience
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate closely with teammates and internal / external customers
- Goal-oriented strategic thinker who is willing to roll up their sleeves and execute tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of best practices for popular social media platforms
- Ability to synthesize and translate highly technical content into thoughtful, compelling, and effective communication products
- Ability to think critically and synthesize information from multiple sources into communication products
- Interest in understanding mission critical aspects of space acquisition

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's and or advanced Degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Policy, Literature, History, Business, Economics or STEM related disciplines
- Previous experience in space acquisition and or technology sector is important with 5+ years of communications and project management experience
- Previous experience as a writer, journalist or media specialist who specialized in writing about Defense topics
- Previous experience as a social media manager

**Security Clearance Requirements: Secret Clearance required (TS/SCI desired)**

**Basic Compensation**:

- $88,000- 130,000k

**Additional Compensation**:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
