Barn Manager

**Uncle Beez Rescue Farm** is looking for a friendly individual to serve as Barn Manager to manage and maintain the daily operations of its farm animals and surrounding grounds. This leader is responsible for making sure of the well-being of all animals and maintaining a safe environment for them.

**Major Duties**
- Supervise the general care of the animals and be diligent in the control of illnesses
- Supervise Farm staff in watering, feeding and grooming all animals keeping all run-in sheds, paddock and barn clean
- Assist owner in annual budget, community outreach and fund raising initiatives
- Assist owner in marketing and brand development
- Supervise and coordinate all veterinarian, dentist and farrier visits
- Coordinate schedule of barn helpers
- Maintain individual animal files and coordinate organization renewals and updates
- Monitor the well-being of all livestock daily
- Responsible of petty cash, sales and storage of store items
- Seasonal managing of general grounds including seeding lawn, mulch trimming, reporting and working with owner to address wind and tree damage
- Some travel is required
- Other duties as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years Equine, small animal experience
- Farm planning experience and working knowledge of farm infrastructure
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, oral, and written
- Good organizational and record keeping skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience working with farm machinery
- Good computer skills
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work in the field or office including hard repetitive physical work
- Some evening and weekend hours as needed
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record

**Experience**:

- Equine: 3 years (required)
- Farming: 1 year (required)
