**Legend Property Group, a subsidiary of The Monument Companies,** is an established property management company new to the Martinsburg area looking for a **full-time Maintenance Technician** to service our debut development in downtown Martinsburg, WV. Phase one of the Interwoven Building project will open to the public in early 2024 and consists of 192 units. At completion the property will house 500+ historically renovated apartments.

**A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN**

As units at The Factory at Upper Spotsy become available, you will work with the Property Management team, as well as Construction, to ensure they are move-in ready. For those motivated by a challenge, successfully filling all of the newly-renovated units is highly rewarding

As a Maintenance Technician, you are determined to ensure that the residents we serve always have safe and comfortable apartments that are in good repair. Because you are a jack of all trades, you are ready for any task that comes your way. You execute a wide range of handyman tasks involved with general home maintenance. From maintaining and repairing appliances, plumbing, minor HVAC issues, and electrical work to painting, caring for the grounds, and pool maintenance, you are ready to get to work.

You quickly respond to maintenance requests submitted by tenants and keep them updated on scheduling and work status. As you complete each task, you always provide exceptional customer service. Walking around the building, you check exterior and interior areas for safety, cleanliness, and needed repairs. You also prepare apartment units for re-leasing which involves cleaning and painting. Each day brings a combination of daily checklists, occasional tasks, and unexpected surprises. You love that you are never bored on the job

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Valid Driver's License and the ability to have and maintain a driving record that is deemed acceptable by the company's insurance carrier to drive a company vehicle and/or drive a personal vehicle on company business (may be required depending on the assigned property)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of maintenance experience required
- Ability to use a smart phone to view/update tickets, and communicate with necessary parties.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Ability to work from varying heights and use a ladder
- Ability to use power tools
- Maintenance-related certifications are not required but are a plus - especially HVAC

**WORK SCHEDULE**

Along with a regular schedule of **Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm**, our apartment Maintenance Technicians also participate in an on-call rotation to address emergency maintenance situations.
