**Position: Pre-Kindergarten Assistant Teacher - Early Childhood Center**

The Baldwin School seeks applicants for the position of full-time Pre-Kindergarten Assistant Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. The assistant teacher will work collaboratively with Pre-Kindergarten teaching faculty to help girls develop academic and social-emotional skills. This position is an opportunity for new teachers to work directly in a classroom with the support and supervision of our expert faculty. The assistant teacher will engage in those duties typical of independent school life, and have an understanding and appreciation for girls' education.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with lead teacher and fellow assistant teacher in planning, designing, and implementing curriculum;
- Provide support for whole class, small group and individual instruction in classrooms;
- Assist in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom community, establishing routines and building relationships with students;
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom space;
- Perform arrival, dismissal, and lunch duties;
- Attend faculty meetings and serve on committees, as required;
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and a commitment to growth for yourself and your students, by actively pursuing professional development in topics relevant to your teaching practice;
- Use positive guidance, offering helpful feedback and exhibiting patience, empathy and respect; and
- Other duties as assigned by the Division Director or Head of School.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in early childhood or elementary education;
- Experience working with young children;
- Receptive to feedback and guidance from lead teachers.
- Experience using Macintosh operating systems;
- Ability to use online texts, iPads, student information systems, and other computer systems; and
- Comfortable interacting and communicating with a variety of constituents, including colleagues, families, and visitors.
