Welcome to Shorehaven Golf Club, a private golf and country club with dining, social and sporting activities for the entire family. Founded in 1924, the club enjoys a spectacular location along the shoreline of Long Island Sound. The scenic property includes a championship 18-hole golf course, golf training facilities, three heated swimming pools, tennis, paddle tennis, bocce, a fitness center, children’s programs, summer camp, and a newly renovated clubhouse. At Shorehaven Golf Club, the Dining Room Server will consistently perform service that exceeds the expectations of the members being served by anticipating their needs. They will attend to the needs of members and guests according to well established rules of dining etiquette and perform various incidental duties to provide superior service in banquets. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential job function satisfactorily. Position involves work on mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Perform assigned Dining Room side-duties.
- Knowledge of the Food and Drink Menu.
- Handle assigned station and assist other servers with their station as necessary.
- Anticipate and fulfill the needs and requests of members and guests.
- Attend dining room meeting to receive instruction about menu and service.
- Observe guests and respond to any additional requests and determine when a meal has been completed.
- Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
- Performs assigned clean-up and closing duties such as closing shift, removing linen, bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, stack chairs, fold and move tables, return all supplies to storage areas, clean waiter areas, any other tasks assigned by management.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Rudimentary knowledge of fine dining techniques and wines.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
