The Opportunity:
Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with all team members, including but not limited to, special educators, instructional coaches, paraprofessionals, interventionists, and other support personnel
- Develop integrated, project-based units with other members of the teaching team
- Incorporate a variety of assessment strategies including district wide exams and formative assessment in order to inform instruction and target intervention and enrichment needs
- Integrate social learning into the classroom and will work to foster a safe, caring, and active learning community
- Partner with families and include them in the students’ learning and development as well as encourage families to further the mission of the school
- Build on established partnerships with surrounding community institutions and organizations

Your Skill Set:

- As the incoming ETS Grade 2 Teacher, you will possess many, though perhaps not all, of the following characteristics and qualifications:_
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- At least two years of full time classroom instruction
- Massachusetts State Certification in Early Childhood or Elementary preferred
- Experience working in an urban educational setting, including the ability to work successfully with students, colleagues, and families from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds preferred
- A strong work ethic, alongside a commitment to doing whatever it takes for students to excel
