**Patient Registrar - Patient Access - Nights - 11 PM - 7 AM**

The Patient Registrar serves as the patient’s main point of contact and the face of the NewYork-Presbyterian Queens organization while scheduling patients for visits, tests, and admissions, registering patients when they arrive, screening for medical necessity, and obtaining necessary pre-certifications and authorizations. These tasks must be completed with an emphasis on both accuracy, to ensure payment from third parties, and customer service, to foster a positive patient experience.

**Required Criteria**:

- High School diploma or equivalent GED
- Experience in clerical skills, solid knowledge of navigating PC based operations.
- Knowledge of insurance carriers.
- Ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.

**Preferred Criteria**:

- Experience working in a hospital, practice or healthcare setting processing patient information.
- Knowledge of Insurance verification
- EPIC
- Bilingual Language skills
