We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth operations within our automotive service department. If you have excellent communication skills, a passion for automobiles, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and listen to their vehicle concerns with empathy and understanding.
- Accurately document customer requests and vehicle issues, ensuring clear communication with technicians.
- Provide estimates for repairs or maintenance services, explaining recommended services, costs, and alternatives to customers.
- Schedule appointments for service and repair work, coordinating with technicians to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, vehicle inspections, service history, and repair orders.
- Order parts required for vehicle repairs and manage inventory levels to support service operations.
- Address customer concerns, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction with the service experience.
- Follow up with customers after service to gather feedback and address any additional needs.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Writer or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and technicians.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and terminology is an advantage.
- Proficiency in computer software for documenting customer information and processing orders.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships with customers.
