Alec's Ice Cream is a fast-growing company and will be launching this first-of-its-kind ice cream this April. We make our own ultra-premium product with gut-friendly regenerative organic A2 dairy as well as the world's only certified regenerative organic cane sugar. We already have lots of commitments from major national retailers and will be available in grocery stores across the country this year. We also sell our ice cream direct-to-consumer and offer nationwide shipping.

**Position Description**

As a Sanitation Specialist, your job will be to maintain production facility cleanliness through CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems and manual cleaning. You will be trained and educated on proper chemical usage, dilution, titration, and cleaning practices. You will work closely with the QA and Production teams to ensure a sanitary facility for safe food production. As a small and growing company all positions are expected to assist in all aspects of production and facility maintenance. As part of the Alec’s Ice Cream team you will be assisted and supported as you learn the ins and outs of your position as a sanitation specialist. We all share the same goal of making the best ice cream and support each other in whatever ways possible.

**Responsibilities**
- The CIP operator is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through completing proper cleanup and sanitation tasks by following regulatory standards, ensuring the product and process are both clean and sterile
- Operate the CIP (clean-in-place) system to clean and sanitize equipment, tanks, and pipelines
- Complete record keeping items such as, but not limited to, identifying cleaning cycle times on charts, measuring cleaning concentration, examining flow rates, assessing heat up temperature and sanitizing by chemical strengths
- Understand and uphold SSOPs and GMPs
- Mix and titrate chemicals in accordance with SSOPs
- Lead by example with a thorough understanding of chemical safety and PPE
- Maintain and manage sanitation chemical inventory and usage
- Hand cleaning of equipment and the production room environment
- Monitoring wastewater levels in wastewater storage tanks
- Assist production supervisors with the inspection of lines after sanitation
- Assisting QA in sanitation checks through ATP swabbing and Environmental Monitoring
- Assisting in the production of product when needed
- Assisting in sanitation related inventory and organization

**Qualifications**
