Escrow Assistant

Job Summary:
**ESCROW ASSISTANT - EXPERIENCED: MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE NEEDED**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Escrow Assistant. As an Escrow Assistant, you will provide support to the escrow officer in processing real estate transactions and ensuring all necessary documents and funds are properly handled.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the escrow officer in opening and closing escrow accounts
- Review contracts, loan documents, and other related paperwork for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction to gather necessary information and resolve any issues
- Prepare escrow instructions, settlement statements, and other required documents
- Calculate prorations, interest, and other financial figures accurately
- Maintain organized files and records of all transactions
- Communicate with clients and provide updates on the status of their escrow transactions
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of mortgage servicing, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and other financial services regulations
- Familiarity with contract terms and basic math calculations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately analyze credit information
- Experience with loan processing, underwriting, FNMA (Federal National Mortgage Association), and Fair Housing regulations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite

Note: All positions at our company are paid positions.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
