**License/Permit Clerk - City of Northlake Building Department**

Permanent Part-time position 16 hrs. per week, hours are flexible. Salary is dependent upon experience.

Our busy and energetic office needs someone with drive and ambition to help us with administrative duties including filing, data entry, updates, project management, as well as processing permits.

**Description**

**Qualifications**

Microsoft Office required, strong computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact professionally with residents & city staff.

Someone with a strong work ethic, who can follow instructions and give some as well, can work unsupervised, and be self-motivated. Ability to do independent research to gain an understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. Proven ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Familiarity with relevant software and tools for permit processing and data entry. Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Previous experience in government organization, construction, or engineering consulting firm is preferred. Bi-lingual is a plus.

Expected hours: 16 per week

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
