Job Purpose: To fulfill a pro-active customer facing role in the Visual + Media Rights department, involving business development, creative marketing, as well administrative support. The role will involve working closely with a range of other departments and international offices, as well as liaising with existing clients and working on new business leads.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with broadcasters, studios, production companies, agents, PROs, as well as Film/TV/Visual Media music industry executives and professionals. Facilitate the relationship between these industry professionals and SMP.- Work closely with SVP to continually review client acquisition strategy.- Evaluate potential deals for signing.- Working with the SVP and UK team to pursue new business and ideas to develop and maximize opportunities with existing key clients.- New business research including monitoring of trade press to identify potential clients and research into the status of rights for current and potential clients.- New business development, pursuing strategically identified new business.- Administrative tasks including liaising with select clients and internal administration teams regarding delivery (i.e., agreements, cue sheets, and audio) and registrations.- Working with the Digital Team to understand and realize online / digital revenue opportunities (i.e., YouTube).- Deal management as a point contact for selected ongoing and new clients.-
- Work with the social media team on curating and effectuating Visual + Media Rights posts.- Identifying and pursuing exploitation opportunities for the Visual + Media Rights catalogue including identifying music for audio ingestion and creating playlists for internal and external marketing.- Attend meetings, conferences, and events to promote SMPs business.- Devising and implementing new systems and processes to improve efficiency within the Visual + Media Rights business area.- Ad hoc projects, preparing reports and presentations as required including pitches and client updates.

Who You Are:
- 3-5+ years of professional work experience in the Film/TV, or Music Industry, with industry contacts.- Experience and knowledge of film and television music publishing rights.- Working knowledge of the Film/TV/Visual Media industry and analytics for research.- Passionate enthusiast for film and television music with an archivist/researcher like mindset across a wide range of musical styles.- Administration experience and first-class organizational skills and attention to detail.- IT literate (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint) and aptitude to take on use of new software packages.- Work well independently, take initiative, identify potential issues & successfully problem-solve with sound business ideas.- Client focused with the ability to consistently communicate in a courteous and professional manner to both internal and external parties.- Ability to escalate issues appropriately.- Effective at working with internal and external colleagues to ensure a high level of customer service.- Supportive of the team to ensure the consistent delivery of departmental objectives.- Flexible and cooperative to all tasks to ensure tasks are achieved.- Open-minded and motivated to recommend changes to processes and procedures where this would result in a more effective service.
