Description:
**Summary**:
The Food Service Utility Worker is a high-energy position keeping up with the demand of cleaning and sterilizing dishes, kitchen utensils, food prep areas, dining tables and chairs/benches, and equipment.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Sweep and mop floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
- Remove trash and compostables, placing them in designated areas. Hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies as needed between storage and work areas.
- Assist with loading and unloading supplies and products.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform other duties assigned.

**Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (one year of experience in lieu of education)
- Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel restaurant, or fast food is highly desirable.

**Requirements**:

**Upon Hiring**
- Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks.
- Successful completion of CMG Safe Environment Training.
- Current CPR certification.
- Complete Food Handlers training/certification within 30 days of employment (valid Texas Certified Food Manager License In lieu of Food Handlers Certificate).

**Physical Demands**:
Frequent pushing, pulling, or lifting 10 or more pounds. Frequent and various back, forth, up, and down movement; ambulate across dining hall and other food service areas to clean tables, benches, utensils, equipment, and appliances. Ability to communicate information so others will understand; follow instructions; determine that areas, equipment, and utensils are sufficiently clean and safe, in compliance with school and state standards; observe small objects up close; remain stationary for long periods of time; tolerate extreme temperatures.

**Essential Expectations**

All faculty and staff members at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart are expected and required to do the following:

- Maintain professional credentials and complete required training. Participate in and provide documentation for at least one professional development opportunity per year in addition to those required and provided by the school.
- Respect the confidentiality of the school, its employees, students, and families.
- Comply with the policies and procedures as articulated in the faculty and staff handbook.
- Authentically engage in the school’s self-reflection process that requires written goals and measured progress towards them.
