Supplier Scheduler

This position will assist with aspects of the supplier relationship including purchasing, expediting and payment both domestically and internationally.
Demonstrates SoundOff Signal’s Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
Identify parts that need immediate attention on the Part Shortages Report and take the appropriate action.
Lead expedited production part orders, from order placement to planned on-time delivery.
Work will suppliers to ensure components are arriving on schedule.
Ensure the latest PO delivery dates are updated in the ERP system.
Manage the Kan-Ban Min-Max replenishment process to ensure zero material shortages.
Manage the intercompany purchase order process
Lead department Defective Material Reports (DMR) resolution in a timely manner and seek support from production buyers and suppliers, where needed.
Ensure supplier adherence to purchase order agreements.
Process manufacturing requisitions, Material Requisition Order (MRO) and related source of supply issues.
Manage supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance per company policies.
Approve supplier invoices and purchase price variances.
Become cross trained in other purchasing functions to back-fill other purchasing roles.
Monitors supplier performance and initiates Corrective Action as needed.
Manage and assist with inbound freight tracking, record keeping reporting and approval.
Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
2+ years purchasing or materials experience.
Proven experience in negotiating contracts
Proficient computer skills-Windows Office Suite.
Experience with Made2Manage Software or other ERP system.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as work successfully with other across all levels of the organization.
Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required
May work remotely
Mostly normal business hours with occasional need to flex hours
