***:The Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist manages the coordination and control of recruiting & onboarding processes in their entirety. Creates, posts, and manages job postings and job descriptions along with administering all new employee orientations and assisting with onboarding activities. Partners with leadership in sourcing and interviewing. Coordinates and assists the Benefits Manager in all wellness events & provides support for community initiatives.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintains and prepares job descriptions.
- Administer new hire orientation for all new hires.
- Coordinates Moravian Onboarding Program.
- Be a key contributor and collaborator during the HRIS implementation.
- Works collaboratively with the Director of HR and the Office for Inclusive Excellence to build and create initiatives focused on supporting the needs of staff & faculty with diverse, multiple and intersecting identities.
- Serves on search committees when needed.
- Creates and maintains required interview documentation as well as documents applicant status in the Applicant Tracking System.
- Maintenance and research of external recruiting sources and annual vendor contracts.
- Provides recruitment & retention analysis as needed.
- Responds in an appropriate and timely fashion to applicants.
- Assists in the development of unique recruitment initiatives.
- Coordinates and assists the Benefits Manager with all wellness events & provides support for community initiatives.
- Assists with departmental web pages.
- Manage and maintain the Moravian University Human Resources LinkedIn account.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by the Director of HR or his/her designee.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:A baccalaureate degree in Human Resources or a related field is required, a SHRM certification is preferred. At least two (2) years of HR experience is preferred. Strong computer skills as well as experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office, Oracle HRIS, social media and spreadsheets is essential. A strong commitment to advancing the success of diversity, equity and inclusion at the institution is required. HRIS experience is preferred. The position demands excellent organizational skills, strong process development and documentation skills, and an ability and desire to work closely with all constituencies of the University including students, staff and faculty, in addition to the general public. Must be forward-thinking and creative with a customer service focus. Requires a team player who can multitask and work under firm deadlines while maintaining strict confidentiality. Prior experience in higher education is a plus. At times, may need to adjust hours to accommodate University or department needs.
