Starting at $28.18 per hour

**Job Summary**: Under the direction of the Senior Director of Clinical Assessment and Access, the Admissions Clinical Support Supervisor serves as the initial point of contact for all potential admissions to the Brattleboro Retreat. Ensures the efficient and effective processing of referrals. Communicates with external referral entities regarding level of care needs and availability of treatment. Initiates the therapeutic case management process with patients on admission to ensure timely coordination of care and notification of admission to collateral contacts. Works collaboratively with inpatient social workers, and care coordinators to identify treatment needs and promote continuity of care.

Supervises evening and weekend Clinical Support Specialist using designated training modules and quality assurance audits. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, strong documentation skills, and competency in the use of the electronic health record.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
1. Associate Degree or above in a related health care field is preferred. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Strong and relevant customer service backgrounds will also be considered.

2. A minimum of three (3) years previous admission/registration/referral management experience in a large, complex psychiatric, acute care, or multi-physician group healthcare setting preferred.

3. A minimum of two years' experience working in a behavioral health environment preferred.

4. A strong, out-going, empathic presentation with the ability to obtain sensitive information from patients in crisis is an absolute must.
