**Financial Aid Counselor**

**Responsibilities**
- Communicate with applicants to gather information necessary for completion of Financial Aid packaging.
- Provide an overview of Financial Aid programs available to qualifying students.
- Determine financial aid eligibility and develop financing plans and review them with students.
- Provide student follow-up; resolve issues with students and parents to ensure a timely receipt of aid.

**Qualifications / Skills**:

- Minimum of 2 plus years of experience in a financial aid office preferred
- Prior experience with needs analysis, verification, packaging and the PA State Grant program
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Must be self-driven and have a willingness to learn
- Detail oriented
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and able to work with a non-traditional and diverse student population.
- Some evening and local travel may be required
- College degree; may consider equivalent combination of degree and experience
