McCormick Barstow LLP has an opening for an experienced Family Law secretary to work in our Modesto office.

Responsibilities will include administrative office duties as well as opening and processing of mail, calendaring, filing, scheduling depositions, preparation of client correspondence, processing of vendor bills, preparation of pleadings and discovery.

Qualifications:

- General family law experience;
- Litigation experience also preferred;
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills;
Requirements include:

- 3-5 years of previous legal secretary work;
- Prior family law experience preferred but not required;
- Ability to type 65+ wpm;
- Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written form;
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, address immediate concerns and manage expectations;
- Excellent word processing skills utilizing Microsoft Word, iManage, CompuLaw and Excel;
- Experience with e-filings with state and federal courts, trial preparation;
- Basic knowledge of legal terminology.

Pay: $26.44 - $31.25 per hour
