Currently this position is non-paid we are currently in the process of becoming a 501C3 non profit organization. Our goal is to have over 120 employees throughout all Family Solutions Departments, We plan on serving individuals with various types of disabilities and mental illnesses. We are currently working on expanding our organization and are hoping to serve individuals within 9 different states. These states will include, Arizona, New Jersey, Texas, California, Nevada, Indiana, New Mexico, Washington, and Florida state. Right now our organization is currently working on obtaining funding.

Job Description.

This position is for a license attorney as a staff attorney for the Rights to Justice Legal Aid Center Education Team. You will have the opportunity to represent FSA’s clients that attend local state public and private schools And individuals that can a be at risk including As a Staff Attorney you will provide direct legal representation under the supervision of the Education Team’s Senior Staff Attorney the Senior Staff Attorney who is overseen by the Shareholder | Managing Attorney For The Education Team. As the staff attorney you will be performing multiple legal task, including providing advocacy, resources, legal research, drafting and preparing legal documents, making court appearances, sending legal demands, attending meetings on behalf of clients, conducting mediations, giving legal advice, while providing direct legal representation to FSA’s clients. This position requires the applicant to be licensed with the Arizona, New Jersey, Texas, Florida, and Nevada State Bar Association. As the staff attorney for the Education team you will need to be a currently practicing licensed attorney within three of the above mention state jurisdictions. This position does require at the minimum of 6 years being a practicing licensed attorney. As the Staff Attorney you will provide direct legal services, including representation in negotiations, administrative hearings, and litigation; develop self-advocacy materials in multi-media formats, and provide legal rights training and information to educate people with disabilities about their rights. Education clients and the community on federal and state laws pertaining to protecting the rights of individuals with disabilities.

Job Duties.

1. Provides direct legal services to clients, including legal consultations and

representation during negotiations, alternative dispute resolution procedures,

administrative proceedings, and litigation within established service and priority

areas.

2. Investigates allegations of abuse and neglect, and writes reports summarizing

findings and trends.

3. Responds to requests for assistance, interviews potential clients, and provides legal advice.

4. Develops and pursues systemic issues through various means, including complex

litigation.

5. Consults with experts, such as physicians, psychologists, therapists, educators,

and others to identify options and barriers to individuals and groups of individuals

with disabilities.
- Ensure the local public and private schools are in compliance with federal and state laws.

8. Attends required meetings, including staff meetings, in-service, consumer advisory

council, and other pertinent meetings as required.

9. Participates in case reviews with the Education Teams Managing Attorney and Senior Staff Attorney and other management within the Family Solutions of Americas Rights To Justice Legal Aid Center this may include the Center Legal Director, and Assistant Legal Director for case reviews.

Founder of Family Solutions of America Family Solutions of America was founded by Crystal Cassidy Austin-Bess, Crystal had been on a search of her own to find resources and rights of her own. Due to the lack of finding them she formed Family Solutions of America to provide those resources and access to rights people have.
