**Job Summary**:
The Career and Education Planning (Advisement, Welcome Center, Testing, and Career and Transfer) team is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as “Enrollment Navigators”. In this role, you will play a crucial part in guiding prospective students through the enrollment process in multiple service modalities (in person, virtually and on the phone).

This includes but is not limited to assisting our team in creating a welcoming and supportive college environment, ensuring a smooth transition from inquiry to registration for a student’s first semester, and making appropriate referrals to other services on campus. This position provides administrative support for efforts identified to promote and build student retention, completion, and success. This position is based on a relational customer service mindset and treating each individual with respect and kindness to make their experience with EMCC a positive one.

**Essential Functions**:
40% - Provides students with information about available resources and support services to enhance their academic success. Assists in facilitating student learning and use of self-service functions and all student services processes including admissions, placement testing, general financial aid, and basic payment details. Provides support to retention/enrollment activities and events sponsored by the Career and Education Planning department under the effort of Guided Pathways.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience providing direct front-line customer service.
- Experience communicating effectively in person and in writing
- Willing to learn and share information about college resources; a genuine desire to help students succeed.
- Ability to maintain a courteous, friendly manner when working with students and staff in person, virtually, or on the phone.
- Experience working with a diverse population of students or customers.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Associate’s degree
- One (1) or more years of customer service experience
- Familiarity with educational institutions and enrollment processes.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office or Google products to perform assignments
- Experience with public speaking
- Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish and able to demonstrate fluency (written and spoken) are highly preferred
