Live-in/out Family Assistant Needed for 6 Year Old

**Description**:
An active family recently relocated from NYC to the charming countryside of rural Connecticut is in search of a proactive and detail-oriented Family Assistant. This role is perfect for someone who excels at managing both childcare and household duties, enjoys a dynamic environment, and is committed to contributing to a harmonious family life.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Childcare Support: Engage with and support one child (age 6) in various activities, including educational play, arts and crafts, and physical activities like ballet, skiing, swimming, golf, and tennis. Handle daily routines, meal preparation, and transportation to activities.
- Household Management: Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and daily operations of the home, working alongside a full-time property manager. Responsibilities include managing laundry, maintaining orderly closets, organizing storage areas, and ensuring all household items are stocked.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare healthy meals for the child and occasionally for the family. Assist in kitchen management, especially during dinner parties and other events.
- Errand Running: Efficiently handle household errands such as grocery shopping, picking up supplies, and other tasks as needed to support the family’s day-to-day life.
- Scheduling and Planning: Manage family calendars, including scheduling appointments, coordinating events, and planning travel for both domestic and international trips.

**Work Schedule**:

- This is a full-time position, ideally Tuesday through Saturday, with the flexibility to accommodate a Monday through Friday schedule. Availability for extended hours, weekends, and holidays is required, as well as willingness for occasional overnight stays.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, with a proven track record in comprehensive childcare and household management.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial.
- Driving and Travel: Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and comfort with driving in various conditions. Should be prepared to travel with the family as needed.
- Culinary Skills: Competence in cooking is highly valued, with the ability to cater to various dietary preferences and requirements.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
