Energy Diagnostics is seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Energy Designer. In this role, you will play a crucial role in assessing the energy performance of residential homes by utilizing computer software to create 3D models and analyze projected energy consumption. You will work closely with builders and developers to ensure compliance with energy codes and standards, ultimately contributing to the construction of energy-efficient and sustainable homes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Review architectural blueprints and building specifications to understand the design and layout of residential homes.
- Utilize computer software (e.g. SketchUp) to create detailed 3D models of homes and simulate energy performance.
- Input relevant data such as building materials, insulation levels, HVAC systems, and occupancy patterns into energy modeling software.
- Analyze energy consumption projections and identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
- Generate comprehensive reports detailing the predicted energy usage of homes and assess whether they meet energy code compliance standards.
- Collaborate with builders, architects, and project stakeholders to implement energy-efficient design strategies and solutions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements in building energy modeling software, and changes to energy codes and regulations.

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
