**Oakwell Academy **is seeking **a Spanish teacher** in **College Station, TX**. We are looking for someone who loves working with children, in discipleship and education settings and is able to teach our High School Level 2 Spanish and potentially a middle-school elective Spanish.

Oakwell Academy is a private Classical, Christian, University-Model School® which takes the best attributes of home schooling and combines them with the best attributes of private Christian education. We are college preparatory, teaching the classical method, centered on Jesus.

Students are on campus 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) and homeschool 2 days a week with their parent/co-teacher.

**Responsibilities**
- Communicate lesson plans weekly with co-teachers (parents)
- Develop the Level 2 Spanish Course.
- Create a classroom culture of honor and respect where students are appropriately challenged
- Track students' progress formally and informally to and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members
- Participate in training and equipping as an educator

**Skills**
- Experience working with children between the ages of 10-17 years old preferred (1 year is ok)
- Teaching experience and certification is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and safety practices (training provided)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to make instructions clear

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $3,000.00 - $3,300.00 per year

Expected hours: 8 per week
