Ammunition Handler Leader

**Duties**:
- Relay work instructions from the supervisor to employees, demonstrate proper work methods, verify work progress, and brief supervisor on the status of operations.
- Issue, receive, verify, sort, classify, and transport ammunition and explosive items and complete all required documentation.
- Maintain proper storage of ammunition and regularly accomplish re-warehouse operations to maximize space availability.
- Accomplish ammunition inventories to verify the general condition, quantity, and location of stocked ammunition and complete required documentation.
- Operate electric and diesel driven forklifts to load, unload and transport munitions.

- Pre-employment and annual physicals are required.
- Position requires a Secret Security Clearance be obtained and maintained.
- Position will require occasional evening and/or holiday hours, to include mandatory overtime as mission dictates.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain installation forklift training certification and license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain ammunition certification in accordance with Army Materiel Command (AMC) Regulation 350-4.
- Must successfully clear local screening check on Dept of the Army Form 7281, Command Oriented Arms, Ammunition and Explosives Security Screening and Evaluation Record, IAW Army Regulation 190-11, Physical Security of Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives
- Position is covered by the 1998 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.- Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to Lead or Supervise of an Ammunition Handler Leader~ without more than normal supervision. Perform common Ammunition Handler Leader duties. I can provide instructions to workers; answer worker questions; and receive, inspect, and store ammunition and explosive items. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.- Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation)

- Use of Measuring Instruments
- **Physical Effort**: Stands, stoops, bends. and works in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May be required to work at a rapid pace for longer periods. Frequently lifts and carries material weighing up to 70 pounds, and at times may handle items weighing over 70 pounds. Moderate physical effort is used in generating forklift hand and foot controls while driving, turning, starting, and stopping the forklift truck and raising, lowering, and tilting loads being moved.
